Surface Engineering and Alloy Company developed the Extreme Coatings solution to protect plasticating feed screws in response to an increase of abrasive fill material in engineered plastics. Since 1997 we have had great success coating over 5000 feed screws with hard carbides. Over these past ten years we have learned much about specific applications (abrasion, adhesive wear, corrosion, polymer build-up) in which our coatings have proven beneficial. This section of our web site is dedicated to sharing what we have learned with processors experiencing similar issues.
We have incorporated a search feature to help locate information specific to your issues. This is an ongoing endeavor and as new experiences come to light we will update this section of our site.
